Mercury is the ruler of Virgo as well as Gemini. This
eclipse is, therefore, very much under the control of
Mercury. Mercury is in Aquarius. Saturn in Virgo is
retrograde conjunct the Moon. There has been a series
of south nodal eclipses in Virgo over the last year
and a half. This is the last one, so it carries with
it the final message of what you need to get organized,
and what you need to let go of. The work, habits, patterns,
and issues of your day to day existence require some
cleaning up. Saturn in Virgo is demanding that anyway.
Saturn will be in Virgo until July 2010, which gives
you plenty of time to get the job done. This means that
there is no issue, no job, or no problem too big for
this energy to work on, digest, and clean up. What about
your schedule? What about your diet? What about your
coping skills?
The effect of a Lunar
Eclipse lasts 6 months. This Lunar Eclipse is trine
to Pluto in Capricorn. This will give you all the power
you need to get the job done. Mars has been dancing
around in an opposition to Pluto since September 21st,
2007. It will finish that opposition around the New
Moon, April 5th. You should have a handle on things
by then. Pluto hasn't been in Capricorn in 248 years.
It just entered on January 25th, and will be in and
out until it settles in Capricorn for good around November
26th. This Eclipse seems to be introducing us to the
new skills that will be required over the next 16 years,
while Pluto is in Capricorn.
I think this Full Moon/Lunar
Eclipse will give you a lot of information about what
to expect over the next 6 months.
